    brake problems?

ive been experiencing brake problems. when i bought my car brakes were good, i change the pads and after a while it started acting up..then i had no brakes, i changed the master cylinder and they started working again, but the pedal feels soft...the issue is when i brake hard, the pedal feels weird as if the pads grip the rotor and then it slides and grabs it again. how i would describe it is that the brakes skip....and theres a noise skipping clunking noise when i brake hard....it happens even at really slow speeds and the pedal goes almost to the floor, but if i pump it it brakes a little better.
    could it be the booster?
could it be a vacum leak on the booster?
is there a way to check the vacuum preasure?
just looking for stuff to check before going to the major things....

i know the rotors are almost gone, my mechanic resurfaced the front rotors

    anything i should check?

id try new rotors. since the pistons in the calipers are ran way out it will drop the fluid level down. see if thats low. also make sure theres power going to the abs unit. if it doesnt have power your stopping power will suck ass.

awesome, im getting some drilled slotted rotors tomorrow hopefully with new pads see if that works, also how would i check to see if there is power to the abs unit?
cause recently someone messed with my brakes, they tried to cut my brakes but ended up cutting the abs sensor and the pad wear sensor i fixed the abs sensor though i welded it back to place

ALWAYS replace the rotors and pads at the same time. ALWAYS.

And how about bleeding it properly next time? The ABS won't effect anything unless you're on a slippery surface so you can pretty much rule that out. New pads, new rotors, a proper bleed and check for leaks in the lines under the left frame rail. Start there and see where it gets you.

yeah when i got the master cylinder replaced they bled the system 2 times to be sure no air was in the lines, but ill change the rotors tomorrow or on the weekend and see what happens....
          anyways
