FWIW, them having "issues" with insurance is not uncommon. I should have been clued in when they recommended a lawyer as soon as I walked in the door (which I took). My transaction with them was fairly straight forward. I paid everything they asked and sought any underpaid dues from the insurance through mitigation with my lawyer.
Funny enough, at another collision shop I had the car repaired with zero issues from insurance (the car was basically a magnet for bad drivers). I think the "adjuster not showing up" and "wont accept our supplements" may just be them having a bad relationship with adjusters in the area, and less with the insurance companies themselves. But that's just my speculation.
