BMW Club to honor 25th Anniversary of the E30 M3 at annual Legends of the Autobahn event during the Monterey Sports Car weekend, August 19, 2011
The BMW CCA is pleased to announce that there will be a 25th Anniversary celebration of the debut of the now famous E30 M3 at the annual Legends of the Autobahn, West Coast Summer Concours, to be held at Rancho Canada Golf Club located in Carmel Valley, CA. The event will also honor anniversaries of the M5 and M6 models.
There will be special parking areas for these historic BMW models whose performance and engineering designs set the standards for high-performance sedans, unrivaled at that time.
After an incredibly successful inaugural Legends of the Autobahn in August 2010, the BMW Car Club of America will again host this growing all German marque concours event. With last year’s addition of the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz clubs, the Legends of the Autobahn has become one of the must see attractions during the Monterey Sports Car week. It will again feature separate club Concours judging sites and club corral parking areas. The event will once again kick-off the BMW CCA Festorics weekend held annually during the Monterey Historic Race weekend.
The Central California Chapter BMW CCA, located in the Fresno-Visalia area, will once again host its West Coast Summer Concours/Legends of the Autobahn event on Friday, August 19, 2011. The event will be held at the Rancho Canada Golf Course located on Carmel Valley road just East of California Hwy 1.
Due to space considerations there will be limited parking for spectator cars. There will be a parking corral area for those registered but not participating in the judging activity. It is also a perfect location for a picnic lunch and attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic baskets. Food and beverages will be available on-site and you may wish to pre-order lunches and event shirts through the registration site.
All registrations for this event will be via motorsportreg.com (http://www.motorsportreg.com/) Early registration opened today, February 1, 2011.
