Potential option for S54 swap

Hi all,

Alex of ablorignalparts fame is beginning development of a standalone management system for plug and play S54 and Euro S50 applications, for both E36 and E30. It sounds like right now the target cost for the system is $2500-3000. He envisions the entire package cost of engine, his PnP SEM system, harnesses, oil pans, etc, should be about $6k when all is said and done (more with 6spd tranny unless you get a roaring deal). While pricey, it looks cheaper than a Euro S50, let alone the swap cost with that motor.

Definitely interested in this if it comes through without electrical limp mode gremlins...

Same. From what I understand though, instead of using the S54 DME this is a ground-up standalone version. It shouldn't have any issues with limp mode, but will do launch control, traction control, data logging, anti lag and boost control, vanos, and come with a stock tune to plug and drive (that tune probably will cost a bit extra though). I can't be certain, but that's the way I read it.
