Honestly, unless you have a serious desire for a 318is I wouldn't pay a premium for it. I've had a 325is and a 318is. The 325 was enough power to be fun. When I bought my current 318is I took it around the block a few times and it reminded me of driving my brothers 1989 Toyota Camry in high school. I get that it's more unique in some ways but I doubt it could ever be as fun to drive as a 6. I don't get the values on BAT...

      Old guy

Apparently old guy does not want to sell it
      I offered 4000 he said 8k.
      I don't want a 318is that bad.
      Drove beautifully.

I was trying to be fair, but I guess all kind of kids follow him and want to buy it from him.
So he thinks it's worth a lot!

There are quite a few cars out there i can buy for 8 grand!!

He who throws out a number first always loses. If you said $2k he probably would have come in lower.

I’d walk, and after none of those kids plunk down any cash, he’ll come back.

OP, did you pick up the car? I ended up finding a great 318is coupe survivor for $3,200 with only blemish being worn driver's seat and 244K on working odometer, if that helps you. I've already been offered a premium to sell as is.
