    Rear window protectant?

Do you guys use anything on your rear windows to protect/prevent it from turning yellow, etc?

Mmmmm. Turning yellow, not so much. I do lay a beach towel in between it when folding down, to keep it from getting scratched on the outside from it rubbing against itself. I’ve had my top for 8 years now & it’s still in quite good shape!

    CAPP :-)

Ok cool..yep I do the same. Just wondering. Yeah mine is still clear too. Do these actually turn yellow? I'm asking b/c I just picked up my 91 vert. I thought these soft windows always tend to turn yellow.

Before they get yellow they get scratched or just dry out and crack, assuming the top itself doesn't fall apart first ....so you have nothing to worry about:)

I was told there is a product Plexus that removes scratches and prevents (?) clouding.

Meguiar's has good products for the back window.

PlasticX is their retail store product.

              From their higher end line:

              M18 - Detailer
              M17 - Cleaner
              M10 - Polish

I second the Meguiar's high end line. I've spent years finding the right chemicals. Cotton towels will scratch your plastic window. Use microfiber towels to apply your products and when you fold the top (line the tray and within the fold). I have not seen anything which prevents yellowing. You might ask the company which makes 303 and see if it impacts clarity/longevity; they have good products for UV protection. In a preventative sense, the top only cover seems only available as a bmw product...BavAuto a long time ago used to sell a top only cover.

If it was cloudy, you can actually wet sand out all but the worst. I did this for the last year of my old top. A real PITA, but it worked ~75%.

Well, whaddya know... I have no idea how good it is, but 303 has been good for me so far

303® Clear Vinyl Protective Cleaner offers superior protection against the harmful effects of UV rays. This product safely cleans and protects.

303 has awesome products. I used the "protectant" version of it since 2006 on my old 1989 VW Cabriolet's top and it kept it looking like new until I sold it in 2016, it had a glass back window so I don't have any problem with it. I just put a new top on the e30 and I'll stick with 303 for the vinyl window.
Sun and UV rays are what makes the window yellow, and 303 has proven very effective for that.
