I bought this car 1 year ago as pretty much a parts car.
Levent at Guten Parts in South Orange, NJ went through it and got it running and driving.
I then replaced these items:
Brakes:
-New Zimmerman coated rear brake rotors
-2000 mile Stoptech drilled/slotted front rotors
-New Hawk HPS pads all around
-New Stoptech SS soft lines
-New e-brake EVERYTHING. (Handle, cables, all hardware, shoes, expander, springs...)
-New rear brake calipers
-New hard lines from the rear tee fitting back
Chassis:
-Brand new gas tank. (Heavily undercoated using Wurth undercoat)
-Brand new 318 fuel pump assembly and pump
-All gas rubber lines are brand new genuine BMW
-All gas line clamps are 316 stainless
-Subframe bushings and diff bushing are custom made Revshift IX-specific polyurethane
-AKG 75d trailing arm bushings
-Condor solid engine mounts
-Condor transfer case mount
-AKG race shifter
-Garagistic IX-specific dual sheer selector rod
-Ground Control coilovers 430f/700r
-Bilstein B6 performance shocks
-Ground Control IX-specific camber/caster plates
-Ground Control billet rear shock mounts
-Genuine BMW front and rear sway bar links
-New Depo euro smiley headlights
-New Silverstar Ultra 55w high beam bulbs
-New Retrofit Source 55w HID low beams (5000k color)
Drivetrain:
-New genuine BMW head gasket
-New BMW head bolts
-New Bavauto high performance spark plug wires
-New spark plugs
-New BMW cap and rotor
-New valve cover gasket, timing cover gaskets
-New water pump
-New PS and ACC belts
-New belt tensioning hardware
-New Innovate LC-2 wideband o2 sensor
-New ignition coil
-New engine ground strap
-New thermostat
-New timing belt and all associated components.
-New steering column
-New exhaust from the manifold back (y-pipe--Vibrant resonator--Borla muffler. Single 2.5" pipe all the way back)
-New AFE air filter
-New GE silicone intake boot
-New Guibos (all 3 of them)
-X5 front guibo mod (front driveshaft splines in perfect condition)
-Both front axles removed and new boots installed
-Vent valve replaced on t-case
-T-case is 100% functional!
-Rear diff torn down and re-sealed
-New Redline fluids in tranny, t-case, and both diff's
-Oil pan gasket replaced
-All t-case, rear diff, and valve cover hardware replaced with 316 stainless
Interior:
-Used factory sport seats
-Used great condition ski-pass rear seats with rear headrests.
-Used map light rear view mirror
-New Driven Steering wheel with Momo hub
-Used IX carpet
-Pop out rear windows
-Aluminum pedals
Car has proper IX weaves with 4 brand new Conti Extreme Sport Contact tires
I don't have time or space for this car any more. Need to find a new home for it.
The bad:
-Front diff making grinding noises. I would not drive the car far.
-Headliner torn in the corners
-Minor body work needed (pictured)
-Paint
-Windshield washer fluid system
-1 dead front ABS wheel sensor
Otherwise this is a very solid platform for somebody with all of the associated IX specific nightmare maintenance already taken care of.
There is ~$5k worth of hardware in this car if you don't count any time or labor. Aside from the grindy front diff, the car is running and driving.
I'm asking $4k
Delivery can be negotiated within ~200 miles of 05748.
Please contact me directly if you have any questions.
Thanks!
