      lloks good and clean
if you go with a volvo 2 speed fan from a wrecker you can keep both speeds in a fan
not sure you have the room for a puller one wiht shroud though with the 6 cyl
its a fan out of a volvo 960 with shroud paid $35

Oh thats pretty awesome, I forgot to put inthere if you want most fans can be run in 2 speeds, you jut retain the stock resistor from the AC fan and run 2 power leads. That setup looks really good and stock

All of my front engine gaskets and timing belt are brand new last summer, so no need to worry about those. But I probably will do the late water pump.

How much and what kind of shape is it in? PM me with details and pics.

Coincidentally, if I do this, my like-new BEHR radiator will be up for sale. It was replaced right before I bought the car in '05, and my car was only a daily for the 2 years right after I bought it.

Did this ever makes its way to the "How-To" section? Searched there but found nothing.

Nope, I converted mine to free up even more space in front of the motor.

You can use the stock clutch fan with the m20 shroud

Is it easier or more difficult (or the same) to bleed the cooling system with the M42 radiator versus the stock rediator?

mine was a pain, but once you get it bled well one time it will self bleed from there on out.

can be a pain with 2 bleeder screws

Just picked on up off eBay for $90 shipped. Stoked I found this since I'm trying to clean up the bay as much as possible right now.

                            Nice write up.

Thanks, mine is still going strong.

Ill be updating it soon...I deceided that the temp sensor controlling the radiator is a bit to high. I want to put in a lower one so the fan comes on sooner.
