    Two Options:
    1. weld a bolt to it and then use the head of the bolt to back out the torx
    2. drill a hole in it and then use one of these guys

I would try and avoid drilling into the bolt just cause shavings could enter the diff, also they use a allen for the fill plug not a torx. Kind of a tough one to remove, the spare tire well is pretty close too for access.

Thanks, ya the clearance between the spare tire and the diff is kinda tight. I don't think you could get an ez out in there. And yes drilling would be sketch cause of all the shavings. Thinking about taking off the whole rear cover. Is this possible with the diff still in the car? It looks like its do able.... Never done it on an e30 though

        Thanks

Yes, you should be able to remove the cover with it in the car.

iirc the whole rear cover should come off no problem as long as the rest of the diff is bolted to the subframe. Just gonna really release the gear oil stink right in your face lol.

There's a lip on the plug, just snap some vice-grips on it and they come out easily.

Ordered this set, found it cheaper but the link didn't work.

Extractor set got here on Friday, finally had some time on Sunday to work on the fill plug. Now I know why it was stripped out. Whom ever messed with it last, put it on tighter than a crabs ass. They must of been to lazy to replace the .56c washer cause it was deformed and smushed to hell. Anyways got it off and got the updated plugs. Anybody now the size for the updated plugs? bigger than anything I have.
