260 Fluid Type Sticker Location?

I am not able to locate the sticker for the fluid type... As title states. I saw the VIN number sticker and assumed it would be beside it. I am near positive its a 17mm allen to remove.

Its a '90 Getrag model, if anyone knows the fluid off the top of their head.
Also having a little bit of resistance from 1st to 2nd, but mostly in the higher RPM, so assuming a syncro issue. I guess there would be a better fluid to combat this?

My understanding is that the sticker told you what was installed at the factory but that they are all interchangeable. Personally I've always used MTL regardless of the sticker

^ this isn't fact but i have a atf type tranny but chose the mtl.
i was researching and even the e46 guys that use the atf stuff switch over to the mtl and notice nicer shifts.

the redline fluid would be d4 (atf) or mtl.
just google d4 vs mtl it's all bmw posts.

If the drain/fill plugs are innies, it took gear oil at the factory. If they are outies, it took ATF.
