Front rub strip separating 325iS

The car is an '87 325iS and the rub strip has become loose from the bumper between the license and the turn signal on both sides. It doesn't seem to be mechanically fastened to the bumper. Any ideas for reattaching?

There are studs molded into the plastic that bolt through the bumper.

Thanks for the photo! It seems to be away from the bumper between the studs, so I'm not sure there's much that I can do about it. More incentive to look harder for Euro bumpers I guess.
