WTF is auto-train?

It is actually a train that you put your car in and get yourself a seat or a sleeper and go from FL to VA non-stop. It takes a long time but you can drink, sleep and not put miles on the car. Its great as a group function.

I would consider taking the train and then driving from VA to the Meet. Looks like there might be some interest. When were you guys thinking?

I vote for March or April 2007.

May/June would be less likely to conflict with any school schedules, and the weather usually is more consistent by then. March/April dealing with cold snaps and rainy seasons not so good for planning this far in advance.

well thats the easy coast but we need the damn west coast too. i vote colorado in the mountains or something. have like a big two-three day event in which everyone can come park and just talk to all the other e30 owners that decide to show up.

Not going to lie boys but Im going to be hardpressed to get 3 days off work and the spare cash to do the equivalent of a cross country drive for an e30 meet. Sounds awesome though!

Lets say June 2007. Any holidays to work around?

1-Location? near hotels, beach, mountains or the dragon.
2-Attractions, BMW headquarters in Spartan?
3-Tracks or auto cross or rallye on Saturday?
4-Vendors existing sponsors, Bav Auto, UUC, Tire Rack?
5-Saturday night party in a hotel suite or get enough sponsors to host it
6-T shirts
7-Swap meet, sell what you bring

Honestly, if the meet gets as big as it sounds, I would rule out a drive. Large group drives like that almost never end well.
