    24v swap mounts opinions

    It seems almost every build thread I read I see a lot of people who buy e28 / m5 motor mounts for there m50 swaps. I bought these right from a BMW dealer, the "green ones", I broke one within a few hundred miles, as did another m50 swapped friend, not sure how long his was in the car though. But my point is, although these mounts do line up;
    They were a motherfucker to get in.
    They are big and bulky.
    They are not very strong.
    I am now happily sitting on solid aluminum AKG m50 swap mounts. My buddy went with the Revshift poly swap mounts, also very happy.

    I do drive my car hard, It does slide around here and there

    I personally felt buying the OEM bmw parts that i was better off, and for the same money, you can buy parts that are MADE for the swap.
    I would like to hear your opinions and feedback on what mounts you run, so other people dont waste $100+ on these bmw mounts.

    Went with r3vshift polls after hearing stories like yours about the green mounts. Fit perfectly, no binding issues, a bit higher than others I believe but just made it easier to fab the down pipe :p

      the akg solid aluminum lower the motor 10mm, you could put a penny between my swaybar and downpipe but bieng solid aluminum it doesnt move so it never hits lol

        I'm using revshifts and wasn't happy with the fact that they don't use the factory holes and they can rotate around hence moving the position of the engine.. but my swap isn't done yet so after its done ill really know.
        I have seen some guys on here that hate the Revshift mounts

          the akg solid aluminum mounts have a locating pin machined in the bottom like the factory mount and dont move, one of my favorite mods on my car so far

            I used the green mounts. The drivers side tore within a couple thousand miles. I replaced it with another green mount. Im almost at 20k miles on the swap and no issues with the mounts so far. The NVH is very low and drives like a stock car. A friend of mine has poly bushings and the NVH is quite high, almost annoyingly harsh
