      Update: November 13th

Things done the past few weeks:

      - Installed some eBay Recaro replica seats (better than 28 year old ripped E30 comfort seats).
      - Installed a new Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS headunit and Hirschmann antenna.
      - Fixed the exhaust I got from Frank to fit on my early model sedan flush against the underbody (the exhaust note is even better now).
      - Installed a new heater core water valve (have heat now).
      - Did all gaskets on the intake manifold (no more vacuum leaks and slight high idle).
      - Put on my adapters and wheels. (4x100 to 5x120.65, 20mm spaced all around).

Things to come in the upcoming months:

      - Full respray of the stock paint (Schwarz) and installation of miscellaneous exterior trim pieces, fog lights, etc.
      - Tidy up the interior even further.
      - A real coilover setup to replace my JOM kit.
      - Chip, solid poly bushings, larger sway and strut bars, and more handling upgrades.

I'll have more pictures of it as I progress further. Busy with school right now.

Glad I read this, enjoyed the thus far progress. Best part of this car? It's a sedan.

Have you weighed the car yet? Dyno? It'd be neat to see a video of this car being exercised vigorously down a road.

        Nice work dude, on point.

          Thanks man.

Haven't weighed or dyno'd the car yet, but someday. Check out "My 32 Valve E30" in my sig for exhaust and driving clips.

            Update: January 15th

So... it's been a little while since I've updated anything. Not much going on, the E30's been in hibernation for the winter while I gather the rest of my exterior trim pieces for an upcoming respray in February/March.

            Currently in progress/finished:

            - Replacing my soggy odometer gears with new Garagistic VDO ones.
            - Removed some horrid red tints off these used tails I purchased a while ago from Guten.
            - Refinishing my salad shooters and polishing them to a mirror shine.
            - Registering the car as a modified classic with Hagerty since I won't be daily driving it.

            Awaiting gears.

Wet sanded with 1000 grit and and applied 3 coats of wax after.

A couple hundred hours or more, didn't really keep track.

Amazing step by step process. My grandmother use to own an old E30 and she even called it her "bimmer" so these builds are close to the heart for me. I'm heavily debating getting one to swap a M60 in. Been torn between an E39 M5 or one of these. Looking for that little bit of grunt in my life right about now and seeing the low cost of building one of these, it's highly tangible....minus my skillset but if I find a good body, I'm determined :-)
