Painting door trim (keeps getting sticky)

What are you guys using to paint your door and fender trim? I painted mine with SEM trim black and it ended up being really sticky. I completely stripped the paint off and wet sanded them and again, painted with SEM trim black. They are slowly getting sticky again.

What would be a better product to use? It seems as if the SEM trim black is made for solid trim pieces and not the rubber/plastic door trim found on the e30.

you need to get a plastic primer with an adhesion promoter. the sem is reacting to the rubber as plastic and rubber constantly release chemicals.
