I had to replace rear body panel on my 91' 318IS. Since I couldn't find a proper North American replacement I installed a European equivalent. It's mostly identical apart from some differences in holes for clips and such, one being lack of rear bumper lights on Euro cars.
New panel didn't come with holes for wiring harnesses for the rear lights. No big deal, I will cut them out. However, there are 2 holes underneath the license plate which I am not sure what they are for. They are about 1/4 inch in diameter so I don't believe they are for wiring. Are they mounting holes for interior trim or something?
Anybody know?
