Yeah I'm running 20mm spacers all around so they can clear the struts. Also you need hub-centric ring spacers because the hubs are different-sized.

Yeah, I was looking into some gramlight 57drs for the e30 which basically need the spacers and hub centric rings. I haven't seen an e30 run these before, but the guy didn't work with me on price.

          Monday's activities

The lower half on the bc coilovers on just hanging out on the strut housing. I wired the crap off the plate where the alternator and powersteering pump connect to. The powersteering pump was cleaned off as well due to dirt and grime. The calipers and carrier brackets were wirebrushed and hit with paint. Lastly, I'll leave a teaser.Click image for larger version

Sorry for another iphone pic, the canon t3i will return

I got the e30 on it's bc coilovers for the most part. One of the e36 steering rack tie rods would not cooperate and sit flush, so gotta order another one.Click image for larger version

                  Just saying hello

Well guys, I ordered some more things, and finally found an e30 at the yards to pull a few bits. Hopefully dropping in my motor tomorrow since it has to leave my buddies place within a few days. Started a new job so sorry for lack of updates. Man I missed working on this girl. I just need a radiator and shifter plus a few small pieces to get her running and driving. Anyone have any feedback on using the m42 radiator for the m20? I like the integrated reservoir. Saturday's progress

I had a few friends come and help knock a bunch of stuff out. What's completed consist of an assembled m20, brake booster/master cylinder, the clutch master/slave cylinder, and rebuilt brake calipers. Hopefully we can put the driveshaft back together today since it's giving us a problem.

I like where this thread stands. I too am very fascinated by the Japanese car culture and oh so often dream of building up a Kanjo inspired e30.

Hell yeah man, I can't wait to scheme and make stuff for this e30. Gonna start off simple like a front splitter then who knows. She's a hoopty, and meant to be driven hard.

Would actually recommend going with M20 radiator, as with M42 you cannot open the cap when it's hot to top up.

I finally got the motor in with the help of some friends. Now I have access to a lift to finish her up. Hopefully starting her soon along with helping my buddies getting their e30s running.Click image for larger version

                              Quick update

This weekend I got some seat time at autocross in my buddy's mr2, and I can't wait to bring the e30. I got the brakes, rotors, stainless steel brake lines, driveshaft, and removed my bc racing rear spring adjusters to get rid of monster truck status. My m42 radiator and z3 shifter bits have made it in.

                                Weekend hours

Apparently I'm going to bimmerfest east, so crunch time is here. I've had family from out of town visit, so I lost some garage time. A few bits here and there will lead to a running e30. I'm helping my buddy with his e30 as well since the spring perch rusted out bad, and we found more rust. Nonetheless, the show much go on, so we can autox and go drift bashing.
