    E30 M42 - No Start

    Hi all

    I have a 91 BMW 312is with an M42 (Parts car)

Has not been run in a few years, trying to get it going.

    Engine Cranks very well
    Engine Sparks very well
Fuel Pump makes flow while cranking (removed pressure line and placed in a bucket)

Engine starts with a spray of ether in the throttle body ...

Pulled a plug and the injectors do not seem to be firing... Dry as a bone, no fuel smell

#1 - I will be removing the intake manifold to check for voltage at the injectors.

Is it worth it to check fuel pressure? I know it is flowing while cranking, but it does not try to fire at all.

Any other suggestions besides checking for voltage at the injectors?

I have read this thread already - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=225575

I dont think this is my problem because I have fuel flow...

Any other suggestions? I will be checking injector voltage tomorrow.

Assuming you have fuel pressure / voltage at the rail, I've had good luck getting injectors unstuck with a soft tap. Use a brass drift or something that want damage the injector. Hit the metal part of the injector, not the plastic.

    Good luck.
