venezuela troops shooting civilians/usa media black out

Tonight, Venezuela is seeing a spasm of violence that’s unlike anything the country has experienced since 1989. Information is fragmented, since an almost complete media black-out is in...

So shit is hitting the fan in Venezuela. I am not sure how many of you have been fallowing the situation over there, but there have been protests against the socialist government and its policies for a while now.
I guess Nicolás Maduro has decided he is sick of people protesting because his troops have started shooting at anyone who looks like they are protesting.
I wonder why the US media has not picked this story up even though they are so hot on Syria, Ukraine, Thailand, and Egypt?

There appears to be tighter control of the media in the Venezuelan situation, and some media has reported faked images: http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/21/world/...-from-fiction/.

I hope the story gains some traction, and pray that exposure will lead to resolution.
