2010 Official SUNDAY Morning PDX/Oregon Caravan

This will be a slightly varied version of our annual ritual of meeting up at Portland Meadows and departing by approx 7:30 AM. Thinking about making a longer route over and around Mt Saint Helens or the like. Anyone interested in doing something like that? Incorporating a mild casual back road "cruise" not a "drive." I will edit this post as the discussion evolves.

Either way, lets get a list of who is meeting up at Portland Meadows.

Usually i am all about the sunday morning caravan but i think im gonna hit the kegger at james' house this year.

No to burst your bubble, but the security guard(s) (read = dicks) at Portland Meadows don't make it a great meeting place. Last year we just headed over to PIR after being chased from Portland Meadows and watched some racing action. But I just got off the phone with someone at PIR because I saw they had an event going on that weekend, and it would cost $10 a person to get in there so that won't work either... Shari's is always a good standby in that neighborhood.

Never had a problem on Sunday mornings at 7 am. The Saturday group did and they met later in the day.

Yeah, and your memory is much better than mine! I was even the one who chose time and place for the last years Saturday crew. It was at 8:30 we were meeting... I guess trying at 7:00 shouldn't be too bad, wouldn't think much racing is going on then.

I like the idea of doing a St. Helens cruise or alternative cruise for the matter. Anything but boring-ass I-5. I haven't decided if I'll be going to the party this year or not but I probably won't. So, I'm putting myself on the list.
