    I have yet to see an M20 head that didn't need at-least some resurfacing.

    It doesn't sound like the OP has the background to truly confirm if the surface is flat.

      I completely agree, he still hasn't said how he is checking the surface.

      Also still wondering if it wasn't timed on bolt down.

        I used a 1/4 inch thick 1inch wide and 24 inch long piece of steel ran a .004 feeler gauge under it longitudinally and diagnoly

          Only 90k on head and never been over heated to my friends knowledge
