    Best Portland area Machine shop?

Who is the recommended machine shop everyone is using? I am looking to have my cylinder head freshened up and possibly some performance work done. Anywhere from Eugene to Portland would be okay. Engine is an s52. Thanks for the leads!

I've heard good things about two machine shops in Portland who see plenty of BMW's. I don't have any personal experience with either of them.

    1. Aluminum Head Rebuilders in SE Portland
    2. M&B in North Portland

Dusty’s Machine shop Vancouver Wa. I only use them

M&B is a joke. They quoted me 8-900$ I believe for resurface, seals, install guides , and springs. I paid 3-400$ at Dusty’s. The guy also asked at M&B if it was for a 5cylinder or 6. The lady working there is also 100% clueless

Me and wishno use Dusty’s, they guys have been doing it for 30 years. Best place around

I had a head resurfaced at Steve's Precision Machine in Tigard. Turn around was quick and I haven't had an issue in over 3 years. I think it was $50? to get it done.

Their picture on Google maps is a vanos M52 I believe.
