    1983 533i with Hartge parts...

I'm a salvage buyer for a wrecking yard and picked up an '83 533i that has a few bolt-on cosmetic parts. I'm looking for some advice as to the best way to go with this car... part it out or sell it as a "builder".

What I've noticed so far.... Hartge valve cover, MOMO Master steering wheel, 16" Centra staggered wheels, Hartge rear spoiler (I think) and a Zender aero package but the front airdam is broken off. It doesn't start, and the cam/crank sensors are laying on the front of the engine, so I'm not sure how much time we'll put into trying to get it running.

Here's some pics, what do you think?

it's probably pretty rotted, you'd have better luck selling bits off it.

check for a hartge stamp on the head, though :)

Pull up the carpet and check out the condition of the floors. If the shell is in good condition, definitely save the entire car as it's worth the investment to do so.

I haven't seen any obvious signs of rust but I'll take a closer look when I get a chance. Its a northern CA car so that helps quite a bit. It does have a Hartge head on it. Photo attached...

I finally got the car up in the air to look underneath. No signs of rust and no signs of anything else special. Bilstein shocks front and back but no bolt-on performance stuff.

We'll try to get it running but either way it will be sold whole...
