Lukebox fitment question

So I have an electric top that doesnít work. Iíve been looking for a used lukebox to buy and install a sound system in my e30. All I can find for sale are the boxes that fit the manual top style trunk space.

My question: will the manual style box fit my electric top chassis if I remove the motors? Is there a difference in the trunk between the electric and manual tops?

I donít have access to another manual style very to compare

Without the motors, it's the same as the manual. I think the only difference after removing the motors is that the trunk carpet is molded with the motors in mind, but not a real hinderance.
