I can't wait to hit it up! I'm waitlisted with BMWCCA, but I'm definitely doing it with COM.

T8 looks pretty challenging with a decreasing radius. The complex of T13 - 15 looks fun as hell.

You'll have a lot of fun!
I caution: bring shit tires. There is no rubber down and the asphalt tears your tires up.
Also, very dirty/dusty. If you have any sort of aero on your car and you get within 3 feet of the edge of the track, you pull dirt and sharp rocks on to the track behind you.

T8 is a lot of fun. Off camber turn-in, On camber at the apex, and flat run out. On top of being decreasing radius.
T13-T15 is great. You can 4-wheel slide the car into T13 and easily catch it on the downhill into the main straight.

Watch out for the brake zone at the end of the straight and after the crest at the top of the hill. Very sketchy!

                  Palmer Motorsports Park!

It was about 85 degrees that day. Sun was blasting. There is no facilities and the paddock is dirt. Definitely bring lots of water, food, and an ez-up of some sort!

Just looking at how covered my car is in dirt right now I don't think I'll be going back until much later in the year.

For reference, the best I could manage that day on Proxe R1R's was a 1:52.
There was a guy in a 996 GT3 factory cup car running 1:45's...

Heh, thanks for the tips. I guess hydroseeding some grass wasn't in the playbook yet.

Nice to have a place so close by!

There are quite the few videos showing up on youtube already for the place.

We should do Palmer and/or WGI sometime next season. Come out to Laguna in some months if you think you can handle the unadulterated, raw power of an M50.

Stopped at Palmer last Sunday on my way home from the TA race at Lime Rock. They were having open practice with about 20 cars there. The track looks awesome! In car videos don't do the elevation changes justice (190'). I was hoping that Lemons or Chump would run there, but after doing some research it looks like the track is limited to 40 cars per event. I'll have to try the next open practice if I want to drive it.

FYI-They do not allow spectators. We were lucky to get in by sweet talking/begging the track managers wife.

I've not been there, but have looked at enough of the videos to know that I wouldn't show up there with a car that wasn't disposable. I know that should be the case regardless of where you run, but there is essentially no room for error with the lack of runoff there. - AB
