I ordered underdrive pulleys from UUC, and they gave me the wrong power steering pulley. I called them and they overnited the correct pulley without questioning me or asking me to mail back the wrong one. They definitely made up for their mistake.

        UUC is not good

Just thought I would add to the already long list of complaints that goes along with Rob and that company.

I was afraid of that, I just wanted to come somewhere where I could tell fellow enthusiasts I am unsatisfied without him coming on here and typing a novel about how he's right.

Bimmerforums was getting a little nazi on the UUC bashing so I figured I could vent here.

Long story short. Ordered wheels in November. Still haven't got them. Turns out D-Force has some supply issue. Since UUC doesn't sell these as items they have instock they take orders unaware of any supplier issues and have them drop shipped when they come in. Fair enough.

3 weeks after I ordered, there is no email, no correspondence no nothing. I have to call and he just says something like, well not my fault, sorry they don't have them, thanks for your patience. He doesn't give a date for when they're shipped but says give it a couple weeks.

So they still don't come in. More problems on D-Force side with they're boats coming from China with the wheels. Still no real correspondence from UUC, just waiting in the dark for most of December and January. Getting kind of pissed right?

So send another email, wtf is going on? Rob says should be good by Feb 14th. Wait until then, still nothing. I never got the next email which says end of March now, even though Rob says he sent them himself.

Either way, just getting a little tired of the bullshit. UUC/Rob doesn't do anything to make the situation better. I got the wheels 15% off and free shipping so he doesn't feel he is accountable for any compensation.

Problem is they take your money instead of a pending transaction. Other (larger) companies will mark your account with a pending transaction until it ships. Upon shipping the money will be taken out of the account. Normal.

So it's been 4 months. I have $900 on my credit card. Paying interest. It just sucks. I'm not an unreasonable person, I don't whine about companies treating people badly unless it's true.

I feel like Rob doesn't do what is nescessary to keep customers happy. This situation utlimately falls on him the client/middle man/retialer. Whatever you want to call him. My beef isn't with D-Force or where the product comes from. It's UUC. And what are you going to do when this happens?

They don't do anything. I don't even believe they're coming in. He's said it over and over again for weeks/months. My problem is that they don't offer any solutions to make the situation right for the customer. They just blame the supplier and say not my problem.

If this happened to me, I would honestly just refund all the orders, say sorry my 15% off free shipping deal didn't really work out and just tell them to wait until there are more in stock.

Now I will never buy anything from them again because I just don't believe in their practices.

I think Rob is too stubborn and arrogant to accept fault run the customer service side of things. Part of it is just making customers happy! Which he has failed to do. This is a situation where you might side on either side, but that is enough to lose tons of customers so why wouldn't you just make it better? I for one will get my products else where. There is not one product they make that can't be found better from another company. I think the RSC36 exhaust is nice, but who cares, would rather not support him.

So feel how you want, this is just what I think and my suggestion is to go to other outlets and avoid the hassle of getting 15% here and there. Sure you might get the deal but at what cost?

I understand where you're coming from but if you were so dissatisfied 1-2 months in, why not just cancel your order? And moreover, why are you paying interest on a 900 dollar charge. That's craziness.

Was the 15% + free ship sale really back in November... goddamn time flies. I got my wheels a few weeks after placing them.

To be honest, I have no idea what Rob's margins are on the wheels, but I'd imagine at 15% off with free shipping they're not much. He's always done right by me, and for that price, I would be willing to put up with shipping delays etc.

I spoke with you this evening. Me, Rob of UUC.

As we discussed at length, we have here a third-party delay. Not even third party, technically fourth-party.

It's a simple situation - you ordered wheels that were backordered. The US distributor has wheels made overseas. To help you and get your product to you quicker, we arranged drop-shipping directly from the distributor's warehouse to you. To save time for you, your order was processed and billed at the time the wheels should have arrived... done so that the wheels could go out immediately.

As almost the entire wheel-ordering world knows, the factory screwed up and did not deliver all the wheels, a fact not known until the shipment was unpacked by the distributor. This was made known to our customers as best as possible by message board post, email, and phone conversations.

As we also thought was made public knowledge, the next shipment which should have the wheels is due at the end of March 2011, a week from now.

So when you called me this afternoon, and this was re-explained very courteously, and you're still holding this delay against UUC - that's not entirely reasonable. Nor is "a piece of shit" an appropriate or mature comment.

When I asked "what would you like us to do to make you happy?" your response was that you wanted a sum of money as a sign of "good faith".

Let me let you in on a little secret... a $105 wheel, that you bought at a discount AND free shipping, and that we pay 3% to process your credit card, does not exactly have a barrel full of "good faith" dollars to give back to anybody.

I did apologize profusely to you on the phone. I did explain that we are both in the same boat, waiting for wheels. I did explain that there is, quite obviously and with common sense, nothing I can do to get them to you quicker. The real world sometimes throws delays into things that none of us have any control over.

This is not a "customer service" issue. UUC always takes customer service as our top priority. We do, however, expect reasonable understanding of situations that are no fault of ours.

Good customer service is bending over backwards... but bending over forwards should not be expected. :D

At this time, I again offer my sincere apologies. Please call me immediately tomorrow morning, I would like to cancel your order and refund the full amount and give you a store credit for your credit card "interest" (credit card companies won't allow us to credit you more than we charged you).

Everyone feel free to feel how they want.

I've waited this long, I'm not going to back out now.

I'm just expressing how I feel. I don't like the way you do business Rob. End of story.

If I were as wrong as you are, I would want to find somewhere to vent also...especially since you have not a shred of any evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of UUC at all.

                          Moral of the story?

Never ever order anything that is "backordered". Make sure it is available BEFORE you order, and at a comfortable stock level.

I do understand how you feel though...but now how about you apply some of that same empathy to a guy doing his level best to provide you with goods and services in a rough and tumble economy, with people grabbing discounts and free shipping, all the hassles and headaches of running a small business... and then if ANYTHING goes wrong you get people whining and bitching about it all over town.

I say you get your money back from Rob, as he has so kindly offered to do, and find someone who has them in stock.

Otherwise, just let Rob hang onto your money and wait..if he will still do business with you, that is.
