These seats were a rare option found in E30's and they were true Recaros with Recaro markings near the seat adjuster. He was just trying to brag (again) that he has a set.

Nothing is wrong with them, infact from what I can see they look clean as fuck. BTW Is that an M3 rear seat I spy? I'd kill for one of those, you don't often see that in a 4 door...

Seriously though, don't take offense, your car is beautiful, everyone makes the recaro mistake, I just love to bust peoples balls about it. ;-)

Yes, Those are e30 front sport seats (horizontal stitching indicates they are M3 but they could have been re-trimmed idk).
But they are not not recaro seats. Infact M3's never came with recaros.

Now the back seat I can tell you is not from an M3. Re-trimmed to look similar to one, but the three seat belt buckles are a dead give away. Rear M3 seats were only two seater's.


Recaro front seats have wider and taller bolsters, wide headrests. The backrest is completely different, look at the top below the headrest. Also the back does not have a "shell" like the sport seats do.
The mechanisms are different, as are the plastic covers for the mechanisms.
Oh yeah, and they say RECARO on the bottom.

So yeah, trust me, they are not recaros.

But like I've been saying all along, clean as fuck car, and a matching clean as fuck interior.
I like it.

If the seats say Recaro at the bottom but they realy aren't Recaro's why FFS did they put this Recaro logo on them?

Anyhow: this could become a very long 'no their not, yes they are' discussion
but I don't realy bother; i'm very happy with my ///M3 Recaro sportseats
and that's what count for me. ;)
