FS 1984 318i 5 speed Race Project Car.

    SOLD SOLD SOLD

Perfect for track days and autocross, this car is a fun, inexpensive track toy for weekends that you can actually drive on the street.

I have owned this car for over 3 years. While I drove it as a commuter car, I slowly prepared it for road and drift racing.

Chassis is fully gutted. I removed all sound deadening, carpet, some unnecessary accessories such as AC and stereo. Car net weight now is under 2000lbs!!!

It served me well as a reliable mode of transport, and I took good care of it. Oil changes done every 3k miles or less with fully synthetic oil. Transmission and differential oil changed less than 4000 miles ago. Coolant flush performed 6000 mies ago. All new wheel bearings.

I replaced all rear subframe bushings with IE hard bushings and AKG Camber and Toe adjustment kit is welded in.

Front has race control arm bushings

-M10 Engine fully blue printed and rebuilt to factory specification (less then 6000miles and over $2000 invested in parts and machine work)
-Megasquirt 3 fully installed and dyno tuned (over $700 in parts and 20 hours of installation)

-Chromolly 4 point Roll Cage with base plates professionally welded in ($1500 value)

-Ground Control race coil over ($1500 value)

-Upgraded brakes to a late style E30

    -Koning 15X7 wheels ($400 value)

-Hoosers A6 tires almost new with one day of auto-x ($600 value)

-3.73LSD (makes bearing whining noise, but LSD works just fine)

    -OMP race seats with harness

-comes with extra parts and set of stock wheels

    The bad:
Dash is cracked, wind shield has a stone crack, gear box is notchy when downshifting into second gear and cluster gauges barely work.

Asking price is $3000 OBO. Car must sell!!!

    Would consider parting it out.

Sucks man, good luck with sale. From a former m10 owner, even though these are low on hp , they can still be fun with good suspension and tires like yours! And of course cheap to maintain,

Any details on engine and dyno?

Thanks. This car is a lot of fun on country roads and autocross. Car weights only 2000lb and puts down close to 100whp and 90wtq. I do not have a final dyne sheet but this is from a year ago.

Yes, just send me your offer. I know I can get more money for the car if I part it out it's just require little bit more time.

Engine is fully balanced, new forged pistons (one size up), new main and rod bearings, new valves, new guides, new springs, ARP head studs, new chain, new tensioner, etc.
Intake and valve cover powder coated blue.
Injectors are rebuild and flow tested.
                  Derling engine mounts.
Its also have crank trigger sensor installed, distributor delete and throttle body sensor to run stand alone engine management with EDIS or similar. I already run MS III and EDIS.

Clean title? Would it make the drive to southern Florida? Send pics to nbitter@hotmail.com very interested and have cash in hand.

Yes it has a clean title and it will make the drive with no problem. It's raining here in MD, but I can take detailed pics of the car on Monday and send it your way.
