SOLD
I am selling my 1988 BMW 325ix AWD E30. I have had it for six years
and it's proven to be unstoppable in the snow around the metro area
and the mountains. It's been a great car, I just don't drive it enough any more.
Transmission: 5 speed manual
Engine: ~120k miles on it. Was replaced in 2009 with a used motor out
of a wrecked ix with 105k miles on it. The timing belt and water pump
was done at this time.
Body: ~300k miles on it. It received a new professional paint job
before I purchased it in 2008. It could use some touchups on some
spots, mostly chipped from road debris and one small area is bubbled on the drivers quarter panel.
The good:
Runs and drives great.
No problems with transfer case or transmission. Passes jack test.
New shocks all around on it
New tie rods and boots, just recently aligned
Comes with a yakima ski and bike rack
Comes with a set of used Blizzak WS70's on stock ix wheels, and a set
of brand new summer/all season tires on some aftermarket wheels
A bin or two of parts you can pick through if they interest you
The bad:
Dash is cracked (happened one morning when it was -20F and I hit a bump :( )
Sunroof could use a new seal, it doesn't have a problem with getting
wet, just loud in the wind
Missing trunk lining, battery cover is still there
Leak in the AC system. I had it running two years ago, this year I
just never got around to figuring out what needed to be replaced this
year. I have a large can of R12 refrigerant that will go with it to
help defray the repair cost.
Occasionally the Tachometer will stick around 2400RPM
Very slow engine oil leak from oil pan gasket (a few drops a night,
leaks less than half a quart between changes)
Could use some paint where road debris has knocked off existing paint
and resulted in surface rust.

Priced to move so I don't change my mind on selling it... again.
