The high/low speed resistor on my AC condensor pusher fan was cracking away to nothing, so i deleted it and wired both power supply wires together, figuring the fan would just run on high speed all the time when triggered by the high coolant temp switch or the AC compressor switch. Result:
1. High coolant temp switch does not turn on the fan at all
2. AC compressor switch only turns on the fan if the high beam headlights are on. I'm not making this up.
3. Low beam headlights work normally. High beams only light up the two driver-side lights, passenger side lights are off.
Clearly I'm not an electrician. Can a sparky out there shed some light on my situation?
Thanks.
