Where is the brass nut at dash / jumpy temp gauge

I have an occasionally bouncy temp gauge. Often mentioned is a brass nut / ground to check. Any intel on how to spot this item and what needs remove to do so?

It's on the back of the cluster itself. You can see it next to the wire harness plug. The blue plug is next to it. The other nut next to the white plug is the same--for the fuel level gauge.

I believe it's 8mm, but I could be wrong(6mm?). I recall that you can reach it with your hand if the knee panel is removed from the dash, as most e30s don't have them anymore... Otherwise, you can remove the cluster and access it. Don't break your cluster ears :)

here's a photo I found of the cluster back:

Thanks very much. Do I understand correctly that there are no terminals connected to these brass nut (s) - did I circle them right?
