ABS light comes on after hitting a large bump

    1991 325i

So the ABS light comes on after hitting a large bump. Turns off of restarting the car and stays off until I hit another large bump. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check the ABS sensor plugs, most of the time the plastic connector is crumbling. The wires could be making contact with each other or the chassis ground.

Do you mean by the one in the engine bay or under the dash. I guess Ill check both.

I assume he means the sensor plugs on the wheels them selves. There are wheel speed sensors on each wheel.

Oh yeah, I just re-read his reply. I'll check each one this weekend.
