Yeah, the 320is had a 2.0l s14, not ............that lump.

Kent, i have a decent glovebox(no handle), you can have if you want it.
Also, I think I have the correct set of rear headrests to match your interior, and the brackets, if your interested.

Well work has been progressing the last couple of days. Got the garage cleaned out, pulled the 318is back into the garage, bought some tire storage racks, built up my new work bench, and started pulling stuff out of the 318is.

Garage still has a bit of tidying up to do, but it's 10x better now. Way more work space. Once the e46 has the new engine installed, and the 318is is taken away, i'll finish the clean up process.

I didn't take many pics, but here's what I've got:

      Before:

      Before:

      after:

Tire racks I got from KMS tools. So many tires...

Tore down the 318is a bit in the front driveway...neighbours didn't like it so it got taken into the garage

Rear subframe out, waiting to be cleaned up

Engine out, along with the front end

Front coilovers. Is it me, or is the adjuster half the size of most? I've been having questions about why the front end never got that low

Now that the 318is is stripped of the big stuff (interior, suspension, engine), i'll be removing the misc. bits to sell off. I've got to clean everything up before it goes into the new car

      Plans for the upcoming weeks:

      - Paint front + rear subframe + trailing arms
      - New trailing arms in the rear
      - throw the mtech up on jacks to remove engine + suspension
      - Send 318is off to the scrap yard
      - S52 install
      - E36 quick rack install
      - Remove old suspension and bolt new onto the 320i
      320I - under construction

Thanks for the offer Todd, but I've got the glove box from my 318is that I'll be putting into the car, plus another one in my basement.

Interior plans for right now are to find some leather vert seats and an m3 rear bench, so no headrests needed at the moment.

If you still need that gas tank, lemme know. I'll take it off the car before it gets sent to the scrapper.

Well, today I found an mtech 2 325i broken down on the side of the highway, it was driven by a girl who had her uncle with her. The headgasket was blown, and i made the offer to buy it. I very well may have 2 mtech 2 cars in my garage soon...time will tell though.

only progress has been that I got the engine out and the bay cleaned up a bit.

I've been dicked around a lot with buying parts for the car (engine specifically) and it wore down my patience, I also ended up tearing my ACL around May so i completely lost almost all my motivation to work on it.

Once I get some more money to buy everything that's needed to finish it up, I'll start posting some updates

updates should be coming along in the next couple of weeks. Finally got working again after a knee injury for some much needed cash flow, and now have adopted the mindset that rather than getting the car perfectly where I want it and wait a while to finish it, I'm just going to get it running and on the road, tinkering with it later down the road.
