    Returning fuel leak from filter

What's up guys. I have this problem that came out of nowhere. It's driving me nuts and want to see if anyone has some input.

My M20 car has started leaking from the hose leaving the fuel filter to the metal line that goes to the engine. It's happened to me three times now... I'll go under and tighten down the hose and the car will run fine without leaks. Then it'll come back again a day or two later.

I've already replaced all fuel hoses, clamps, fuel pump, fuel filter, FPR, rebuilt the injectors, etc., so it's hard to pin it on faulty parts.

So what is going on here??? Too much pressure in the system at startup? I tighten the hell out of the clamp!

    Thanks for input!

What size hose are you using? I've had similar issues with 5/16 hose. Finally went to 8mm with crimp style clamps and those solved it.

Many people successfully use the 5/16 hose. Maybe its the quality of the hose?

Are you using high pressure fuel hose? There is low pressure hose made for old carbureted cars that can't handle the higher fuel injected pressures.

I appreciate the replies everyone. I originally replaced it with the OEM fuel hose since it has a pretty tight "U" shape, so it really shouldn't be the hose... Anyway, I'm going to try standard 8mm hose and different style clamps to see if that does anything. Might as well do a fuel pressure test while I'm at it to see if there's something else going on.
