    Cam Timing

Since I haven't seen any posts on how to accomplish this, what is the correct way to time the cams with the "new" timing from BMW. If the cams are locked in place with the tool, do you degree the cam sprocket?

    Thanks.

Lock the crank, lock the cams, insert the dummy tensioner then torque the cam gears. That's all there is to it.

"old" timing = all four cams are aligned perpendicular to the heads
"new" timing = cams in other bank (drivers side?) is tilted slightly

      The tools have alignment accordingly.

Excellent, that makes much more sense to me. I thought that it would be a pin to have to do it the way I was thinking. Thanks for your help!
