Ok- I am struggling with which direction to go on my 91 318IS.....
Hers the situtation: I bought the car a year ago to DD and save on gas- well it has since died.
The motor is toast from what I'm being told ( crack in the block)
Alpine white/ on Tan sport seats
Mods include:
-newer sport shocks
-HR lowering springs
-14" basket weaves w/ stock full size spare
-cold air intake done by previous owner
-e36 steering wheel
-e36 shift knob
-jvc head unit
Condition:
-hand crank sunroof works and doesnt leak
-front bumper could use some paint; lower valence is bent a lil bit
-rear bumper has a little rust near the bottom, but otherwise in good shape
-power windows work
-driver seat is a little torn up but its not too bad
-passenger seat is a 9/10 id say
reads 224,000, but the motor was replaced and it has around 140,00
-clutch done at the same time
-no tranny grinds shifts smooth
-tires need replaced with good quality correct speed rated rubber.
I've also recently replaced the tranny shifter linkage and bushings along with the vibration dampner and tranny mounts.
Overall a very presentable little car up until the motor died....
So- with all that being said- I'm trying to decide if I should sell it or repair it?
As I'm sure I must post a price- I'll start at $1250 and go from there ( yes I know its HIGH- but you gotta start somewhere)
