    1989 BMW E30 325i Rust Free 24v Delphin 4dr

    Car has been sold.

    Peanut gallery disclaimer:

-This car was "fire sold" here on R3V last year to a friend who brought to Indianapolis. I liked the car so much I purchased it from him. I need space in my garage so I am letting it go.
-Much work ($$) has been performed since the car has been in Indianapolis to bring up it where it is now (full 24v AC conversion, brand new shift linkage/carrier/bushings/lever/etc, new power steering system including Z3 1.9 rack, pump, etc, new S Drive Tires, M3 control arm bushings and drivers control arm, and general cleanup/maintenance)

    Without further adieu:

I am listing up for sale my 1989 BMW E30 325i that is rust free and is swapped with a 24v 3.2L engine (M50 head on S52 bottom end).

SOLDPrice is $8999SOLD I would like to move this before Winter sets in. Comparable examples sell anywhere from $12K and up. This is a great price for what you're getting. I'd keep it if I didn't need the room.

    The details are as follows:

E30 1989 325i with S52 bottom end/M50 Non vans head swap (NV head used to give the car a more "raw" feeling/powerband to maintain E30 character)

CA guys- this car should smog with the correct airbox (currently has a KAMotors style intake on it). The exhaust is smog legal, and the swap was performed so it reads like it should. I have smog receipts from when the car was in CA.

You seriously sell the best cars.. I wish I would have came across (this forum first of all) your cars before I got mine locally.. the price I paid plus repairs and diy fixes are more than what you're selling these amazing examples as..

Does it have a BAR sticker?

I've been guilty of the same thing many times! The maintenance and mods add up so quickly you can often save a bit of $$ buying something a bit more complete.

Not that I know of. Scott (guy from CA who built the car) said the car passed smog with the correct airbox, and that the exhaust was smog legal.

I also have the following documents. Outside of these things, that is all I know.

Doesn't look like it went through the BAR process to get the s50 legalized. If it still carries a CA title, it's possible to bring it back with some tomfoolery (But a statement of facts from the PO will be necessary as he probably put your name on the release of liability), if not, it'll be a challenge. GLWS!

Thank you Austin! It really is- I want to see it go to a good home.

Ah, okay, thank you for clearing that up! My guess then is that the PO likely was working towards BAR but never finished the process. The car carries an Indiana title now, so it sounds like the process will have to be restarted then if the car went back to CA.

I’m not in the market, nor can I afford to bring home another car because my wife would kill me, but this car makes me want to do something stupid.

Stupid things are healthy every once in a while- it's good to really test the bones of that marriage :D

Measured stroke today on cyl 1. To no surprise, measure just over 3.5" (aka, 89.6mm). Once I find a good comp tester I'll get a reading on that as well.
