Reverselight wiring

I think something is messed up with the reverse light wiring.

I hooked the M52TU reverseswitch wires with the E30 wires under shifter boot. Used Multimeter to make sure it closes contact when in reverse.

Reverselight does not come on, but if wired like this it stays on all the time. Any suggestions?

So i figured it out, somewhere the blue/white wire of the body harness that goes to the reverselight where used as ground strap for something that the previuos owner installed, thus not getting power from the reverse switch. I unpinned the white/blue and green/white from the engine harness and wired them to +12V from ignition sw (green/black) and to the reverselight (blue/white)


Seems that it sometimes help to remove all the elctrical mess from previous owners. Who tf needs a 5W lightbulp under the hood anyways...
