Yeah I’m the past 2-3 weeks I’ve gone up I think 4 times and 3 of those times there was a fairly serious crash. It seems like mostly normal people thou, nothing if consider to be a sports car. Kinda weird.

Nah this was on dry days, I’ve been talking with some motorcycle guys I know that go up there too and their theory is that waze is directing people to take skyline to avoid traffic on the 280.


Also does anyone know of a regular meet around the south-east-peninsula? I haven’t heard from the Sunday chromatic crew in a while?

In other news R3V, officially moving back to the Bay Area in a month after 7 years of living in SoCal and Chicago.

What's r3v's opinion on fun hatchbacks? R53 Mini, MazdaSpeed 3, other suggestions? Maybe a mini trunk instead, ie. Colorado, Canyon, Dakota, SR5? I just can't do track days in a truck which is probably a good thing lol

Oh you will indeed! I'll be living in Alameda. Soon as I get it running again (which will hopefully in the couple of weeks while I'm still here in LA), I plan on getting some body work done, then sending it off for body & paint

ooohh man! Are you sending it out up here or down there? I spotted a few rust spots on my sunroof today and I'm getting sick of the faded clear coat "rat rod" look so I'm starting to think about getting mine resprayed sometime in the future.

i haven't touched the baur since december of last year because a.) i caught pneumonia and it almost killed me (ICU for 4 days, regular hospital for another 4, lots of downtime since then) and i'm still recovering, and b.) i live in san francisco now and don't have anywhere to turn a wrench on it.

i has a sad.
