do it, who cares about spacers.. they work fine. don't know why people get so worked up about them, they'll basically let you fine tune the offset to fit as much tire as possible. you'll be running studs anyway, not like wheel changes are going to be an issue. :)

I will :) Plan on taking my car to a shop this week see what it will cost to widen my fenders to get an idea on cost.

I have been curious about these wheels as well. I run the 275 hoosiers.
I think this wheel is like 5.5 ofsett with 10mm spacers
You will need an honest 2 inches to cover the rubber and also trim the front and rear of the front fenders or as my friend did as he has plastic bumbers space them out a lil.

No, I am looking at getting the fenders cut and extended like this - that way the front/rear valances/bumpers don't need to be modded...

Spoke with 949racing today. I need to take some measurements and see what the heck is going to be require to make these work.

Any ideas on the cost of 20+mm spacers that will also correct the center bore difference?

Also looking into bogart options as well.. I would really like a direct fit (in terms of offset/spacing/center bore) as I am afraid having to run thick spacers + possibly rings will just drive the cost up vs. getting a custom made wheel done?

                I don't know.

I'd think maybe a couple hundred for the spacers, even custom, so you wouldn't need rings?

the thing about spacers vs custom wheels is wheel replacement. say you bend one, or it cracks, or something happens.. it will be a lot more expensive to replace.

Yes I drove home from an event cause the tires were dead. It was quite fun.

I did the stud conversion. I run H&R spacers which are hubcentric and the studes take care of the rest. Thus why they accorn lug nuts. Oh and my wheels are spin werks. They are not steel. They dont weigh much either may 13lbs

I run 949 15x8 with a 20mm spacer in the front. Needs a spacer in the back to look even but it fits and drives fine the way it is.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Thanks but we are talking specifically about 15x10.

Are you running spacers with center bore change or running rings as well?

You keep mentioning the wheel width, when its the tire width thats important when talking about fitment. I think you said you wanted to run 275's in an earlier post. Is that square? My biggest concern would be clearing the inside of the wheel well while turning. I had trouble running 235s in front, but only had a fender roll. I figure you have to run between a 30 to 35mm spacer in front to not lose any turning radius depending on the tire model you go with.

The hoosier 275s fit square on a 10 inch rim.

I am running v710 225/50 on 15x8 right now and the tire is wider than the 225 street tire and clears w/o problems even with fender lines..no spacers and such but this is on trm wheels. This is a 9.2" section width, 9.0" tread width and 23.7" diameter tire.

There aren't exactly many choices for 275x35x15...

Specs on the A6 are here

10.8" section width, 10.1" tread width, 23" diameter.

Well I am quite sure it's not worth more than either one of my E30s but I fail to see how that's relevant.
