    2.7 stroker FPR?

    Hi folks,

I own a 2.7i 'stoker' setup and I need to replace the FPR. I'm not sure if I should get the 2.5 bar or 3.0 bar FPR?

The car is an 86 eta base with a full I head swap (including 'i' DME and injectors).

Also, for my own knowledge, if I were to pick the wrong pressure here, could I damage anything?

The o2 sensor will correct your fueling on idle and part throttle, but open throttle will be soley based on the map programmed into the DME. So, when changing fuel pressure you need to take that into account.

Having said that, the I head should have the 3.0 bar fuel pressure. Some are using 3.5 bar with tuned engines but with adjustable fuel and timing.

Thanks, clarkson. One other question... is there any risk when switching over to 3.0 bar that any of the stock, eta M20B27 fuel hoses would be incompatible with the higher pressure?

As long as you are using properly size FI rated hoses you will be fine

Correct. The hose will know no different. Just use 8mm or 5/16 EFI hose, not the cheaper carb low pressure hose.

Are you running an 885 head on an ETA bottom end?

I’m using standard 8mm hose. CRP hose with matching part number from FCPEuro.

Yes, it’s an 885 head with an Eta bottom end.

            Thanks for the info, all!

3 bar is proper for stock DME and injector size.
