    Anyway, nice car ;)

cruise control came with alot of 5spd e30's

it will just keep nailing the gas until it is able to maintain speed, if it can't then u shoudl prolly downshift :p
it turns off as soon as you push in the clutch.
I know, but what I am saying is that if your in to high of a gear, say 5th and wanna go 30mph, its just gunna keep nailing the gas until it is able to match speed, until you are WOT and still not accelerating.

in an auto it will keep pulling the throttle until you kickdown to the previous gear.

Manual cars can have cruise control!

And I don't think it was standard in '84 either. Correct me if I am wrong. It was standard on the "es" and my parts car has cruise control with manual tranny! ;)

It wasn't a factory option on the 318.

The PO of my car used all OEM parts to install cruise control. It can be done, but it's not cheap.

That was my Gen1 Cruise control install

I later updated to Gen2 and replaced just about everything with factory harnesses

                              thanks guys

BTW Ken, I pulled the speakers, A/D/S 300is is the model

the tweeters are cracked on both from the sun (didn't know that) but they still sound as good as my alpines, so I dont' really care as the large driver is still in great shape.

the damn things even had a switch and a fuse, which I am guessing is the crossover...
