    taking off muffler

i am replacing the muffler system (cant pass emmisions due to a big hole). I bough it with high flow cats+magnaflow exhaust, for cheap. I tried to replace this last weekend but seems like it will be a real knuckle buster to do it. I also see it kinda imposible to stick my hand with a wrenck to unscrew the bolts,so ...
is there a tool i need to get to get this done. a special extention, wrachet... or do i have to lift the engine to get to it?

    any help appreciated.
    thanks:D.

Are you talking about the nuts at the exhaust manifolds? If so, get to them from the bottom with a few long extensions. You might need a universal joint or maybe a wobble extension. Soak them with penetrating oil first as they will probably be stuck.

are there any universal joints attached to an extension? or are there separate pieces.

you cant pass because there is a hole in your muffler????

if there are holes in your muffler you will pass very easily
