    fuel pump fuse

Ok so I've been experiencing an intermittent problem. One day I started my car and pulled out of the driveway and my car just died while idling. I found out the fuel pump fuse (#11) popped. I thought it might be a clogged fuel filter and decided to replace it with a new one since it is cheap. I put another fuse in and it started and drove fine for a few weeks. Then while I was driving around yesterday when I pushed the gas pedal the car did not respond than it hiccupped and died. Found out the fuse popped again. I put a new fuse in and it started right back up and I drove home with no problems. Now my car sits until I can fix the issue for good. I'm thinking my fuel pump might be going bad but I am not sure. All the wiring looks good. I'm getting voltage at the fuel pump connector. Ground is okay. I haven't checked the current draw while the pump is on yet but any other ideas?
