    E30 1/4 mile times

I'm curious what quarter mile times people are running with E30s. Could those who have run theirs up the strip share times?

Can we keep posts to this format:

    Engine: M42
    Power: 140bhp
Weight/description: Full road trim Coupe, estimated 2700lbs
Tyre make and size: Toyo R888 205/50 R15
    60ft time: 2.1s
    1/4 time: 15.5s
    Speed: 95mph
Notes: (such as "drag car converted to live axle and tubbed")

And only post times you've run please, not "my mates uncles dog ran a 9 flat in his 318"

    Thanks!

your 60ft time could use an improvement, especially with R888 tires. Launch that little 4banger

I've been to the track a bunch of times in my e30's over the past 16 years with various engines in them haha. None of them are drag cars by any means, but I have a track a few miles away, and it's cheap to run.

My first e30 ever was a tired 325i POS. Took it to the drag strip once and ran 15.9.

                Engine: M42B18 from e36
                Power: 140bhp (103kw)
Weight/description: Full road trim Coupe, with lpg system, so more weight than standard
Tyre make and size: simple yokohama 195 50 15
60ft time: [must check, will update]
                1/4 time: 16.9-17.1s
                Speed: [must check, will update]
Notes: basic european 316i with engine swapped from e36, M42B18, lpg system, lose about 0,2-0,3 seconds on lpg. Draging on road flat surface, lsd with 4,45 ratio, e30 316i gearbox. Drag times measure with Racechrono and 5hz qstarz external antenna, good precision but a 0,1 must be always considered like possible error. Car seems slow.
