I'm installing UUC EVO3 shifter with UUC DSSR. I'm using OEM BMW E21 transmission mounts and planning to go with poly rear carrier bushing. For the front shifter carrier bushing.....should I go OEM or Derlin or.....? I'm concerned about vibrations from the engine/tranny with Derlin since it will be pretty much rigid at the transmission. What do you guys think and recommend?

The OEM shifter joint is not rubber so may not be that different from delrin.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

IMO i don't see the point in not using an OE shifter joint since it's fairly durable as isSeat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

I just did this a couple of months ago. Same shifter and DSSR. I used the delrin bushing up front. I notice no additional vibration compared to stock. However, the delrin bushing has a LOT of clearance on both ID and OD. Like .020" or more, so it is not a rigid connection. The shifter is not as tight as it could be because of this, but it's not bad. If I did it again, I would use a new stock bushing, which is mostly steel, with a thin layer of rubber. It fits line to line, so while the total play might be about the same due to rubber compliance, there would be more resistance, so the shifter should feel a little bit tighter. I'm also not sold on the rear urethane bushing, which I used; I suspect a new stock rubber part would work well there too.
