    M42 wont idle...

Alright so today I pulled my valve cover to put on a new seal and decided to take the intake manifold off too and give them both a new coat of paint. I put everything back together and when I try to start it will turn over and startup only to die a second later... If I try to give it gas it goes real rough and climbs rpms and scretches.. any ideas pleassee? I need to get to work tommorow

You may have a manifold leak... did you re-use the old one? if that's the case I would replace with a new one.. Also make sure you reconnected all your vacuum hoses, etc.. Sounds like extra air is gettin in there and either killing it by flooding it to compensate, or revving up because that's what'll happen LOL you may wanna post on http://www.m42club.com/ its a great community for us 318is'rs, everyone's really savvy, and loves to help!!
