you cant make a 2.8i with super eta pistons. Only a low CR 2.7.

not all 528e's have super eta pistons, only 88's

                  so I can't make neither 2.7i nor 2.8i proyect with pre 88's 528e pistons??

why is that?? I mean, what differences does it have?

a eta bottom end with a i top end makes a very low CR 2.7L engine.

so It doesn't matter if I have a pre 88 528e pistons, it will be Low CR??

If I shave the head, can that help?

I would not shave the head... rather deck the block.

In all seriousness why build a halfass stroker like that? Spend a little more and obtain some super eta pistons. At least then you will be a bit better.

I'll be more than happy to invest in super eta pistons...

                          If I find them

I'll be doing the normal Super Eta stroker - I was thinking I'd get the head shaved. But, you're saying to get the deck the block (shave that down a bit - in other words?). I'll want to do that if I want to remain N/A, right? My friends are trying to get me to go turbo, but I want to stay N/A.

Don't shave the head. Better to deck the block, and get a offset cam gear pin to correct the timing.

I still have a hard time with the super eta piston strokers. They still produce a low 8.8:1 CR.

But ig you are on a budget, they will save you some money.

My 9.5:1 85mm JE's were ordered awhile ago, should come in soon.
