Just a couple pictures of my finished 2.8L

Nothing special, not even really clean. Motor has ~460 miles on it now. It gets to see 6k pretty regularly now. M30 AFM is installed. Great throttle response improvement.

Paint on the exhaust manifolds didn't hold up well, its flaking off like dandruf. Paint on the intake tube needs to be redone, it got pretty scratched up in the engine parts bin.

looks pretty, but please get rid of that coolant tank, then it'd be gorgeous.

Dyno will be soon, as I need to get a custom chip tuned from the data.

I can't just get rid of the coolant tank, its kinda needed... I want a new one but I cannot spend the money on it right now.

Sweet ass. I used Griots Garage products on my manifold. Put it on one year ago and still looks like I put it on yesterday. Nonetheless looks awsome

              you need:

              new coolant tank
              ugly coolant hose from tank
              new radiator
              ugly/rusting brake booster
paint chipping on hood torsion beam and should be body color
              ugly intake pipe paint
stupid white thing around hood shock
coolant tank hose to radiator too short
ugly alarm thing by brake booster
poor use of reiger sticker on relay cover
              ugly brake fluid container
              brittle looking check valve
              clutch supply line frayed
              poor use of H&R sticker
ugly dirt covered rug in background
              haz-mat oil bottle on ground
              lots of weeds in grass
              exhaust manifolds ugly

all the problems i could find for now...am i missing any?

Wow, Trent - you noticed all that? amazing...lol

Jordan - looks amazing. What paint did you use on your exhaust manifolds? I was gonna use some 1500 degree paint - will that not hold?

                    Powedercoating probably would though, right?

I'm not worried about the flaking paint, they are just temporary until headers come.

The actual problem likely wasn't the paint. I used 900ยบ VHT Silver, which should have held up fine, but I was out with the car with no hood on a clear sunny day in and in the course of 15mins it went from clear blue skys, to torrents of rain pouring down.

I think the cold rain hitting the hot ass paint make it flake.

Despite Trent's critical analysis (had me laughing too :D ), it looks good Jordan. Nice enclosure for the intake. Can't wait to see what kind numbers it makes on the dyno.

P.S. Consider a MAF over the M30 AFM?

I would much prefer a MAF to this AFM. But the AFM was free. MAF and engine management/tuning isnt.

                            stock 3.0bar FPR.
