Ask Matt-B about cheap studs. He will tell you.

I got the IE bullet nose stud conversion, haven't had any issues yet and I did use loctite.

bimmerworld also sells a great kit, price is lower than vorshlag's and it comes with nuts as well.

torque spec studs/hub is 30lb/ft or less for the vorshlag studs, I am sure bimmerworld's spec is similar

I prefer not to use loctite. Every once in a while, I have to put a stud back in, but it's much better than the misery of removing a loctited stud from a hub.

Are they sold seperatly? I would have to buy 16 of them? Or do they come in a package of certain pieces?

Vorshlag sells them by the stud.

Bimmerworld sells them in kits of 16 or 20.

I'm too lazy to see what Turner does.

I have the Vorshlag 75mm on my E36 and I got the Bimmerworld ones on my E30 (Xmas sale last year.)

Overall I like the build quality and the fit and finish of the Vorshlag ones much better, and if I ever buy any again I will get the Vorshlags.

I bought a 1/2" stud from FORD it has a shank on the end as to ease the nut onto the threads and minimize stripping. Used a 19/32 drill bit. drilled out the old threads and put the stud in from the back side. using the 1" lug nut backwards and some washers you use an impact to "seat " the stud into place, it is like basically pressing it into place.
Holds great very easy and only $3 a stud. it meets most track rules and requirments for racing studs!
only minor grinding on the front hubs to have it seat flush on the backside

They've been run on track cars and i run them on mine, also the "lock" kit is excellent...4 locks on every wheel.

I was wondering why nobody had mentioned kaliboy's kits yet. Everyone seems more than happy with them.

I got my current kit from Guten, and I believe they're Rogue Engineering. I had Vorshlag in the past, had problems with neither of them.
